We "live and move and have our being" in God, being present to things as they are involves encountering Christ who "fills the whole creation").  Contemplation means finding God in all things and all things in God. The loving gaze that finds God in all places.

Spiritual Contemplation is the  Immediate open presence in the world, directly perceiving and responding to things as they really are. 

Contemplation is an all-embracing quality of presence, including not only our own inner experience but also directly perceiving and responding to the needs of the world around us. Through faith one spiritually contemplates all things that are God.
